Water Quality Testing May 2018

Linda Mc, Jim S and Sheila went testing on May 30th. After the driest May in memory the water levels were very low in Piercy creek more like July levels. Millard was flowing well. All sites showed little turbidity. Unfortunately our new DO meter was not happy and so we could not test for oxygen levels. Normally in the spring this is not a problem as oxygen is high, but Piercy south of the River Meadows was barely moving and it would have been good to know the oxygen content there.  We saw fry everywhere and a resident on CLR at Millard said he had seen fry up in the pool there.
Testing is now over for the spring. Testing during dry conditions will start in August and go on weekly.
