Water testing Aug 24th 2020

Sheila and Helmut tested the waters on Monday, 24th August.  There had been some heavy rain on the previous Thursday and Friday causing  the water quality to be noticeably improved from the week before, tho water levels were still low.  Temperatures were down and oxygen levels up, quite high in some locations. Fry were spotted in all three creeks at the confluence,  in Millard by the fish fence and Piercy at Cumberland Road.  Piercy at Cumberland  still has water flowing and the fry are there, both in the deep pool below the culvert and further down the creek.
This week we tested Piercy main where it comes under Marsden Road and found that the turbidity was high….and the water aromatic…..cow manure! Test results can be viewed here:MPWS Water Quality 2020 8 Aug24 2020
