Sheila, Linda C and Jim S went testing today, a beautiful sunny spring day. With very little rain recently all water levels were quite low for this time of year and turbidity was low, except for at Marsden Road. All test results were within Provincial guidelines. No fry were seen. There was a total contrast between the water condition below the Millard springs and the outflow of Piercy springs below Marsden Road (Knopps springs). At Knopps the water was low in oxygen and was heavy with long slimy grey growth and the water smelt of sewage. At Millard springs the water ran clear and clean. Also in Piercy creek at Cumberland Road the gravel and rocks were covered in slippery black slime, unpleasant, but not the long tendrils as at Marsden Road.
