Helmut and Sheila went testing on November 9th. It was a cold day and the recent cold weather seemed to be too much for the LaMotte meter which we use to measure turbidity as it could only give an error message, no measurements. However, as we have had no rain for several days, turbidity was not too important so we continued. All sites were good for oxygen and temperature. Some were a little low in pH. Piercy Mainstem at Marsden was low in oxygen as has been the case recently.
We saw chum morts in Millard at the old fish fence area. In Piercy, at the confluence, we saw some coho travelling upstream. You can see the results here:MPWS Water Quality 2020 11 Nov9
